Apple scones

Perfect your scones

Try these Country Women's Association scones with seasonal apple for extra bite.

Ingredients

  • 1pkt SACWA Lauke Scone Mix, 1 sachets
  • 2 apples, peeled, cored, finely chopped
  • 80gms caster sugar
  • 230mls water

Method

  1. Plain flour for kneading
  2. Heat oven to 210 degrees celsius.
  3. Place all ingredients into a food processor with a dough function, mix for 3mins.
  4. Place dough onto a floured mat, rest for 5 mins.
  5. Roll or press out dough to 2cms thick and cut into rounds.
  6. Place closely together on a baking tray (use baking paper).
  7. Cook for 15 - 20 minutes.
  8. Enjoy warm with your favourite topping and cream, or you could even enjoy with a nice piece of camembert cheese.
  9. You can also mix by hand in a bowl with a straight-bladed knife, then knead (using plain flour) until no longer sticky and dough is smooth (dough is very sticky and messy).
