Brighten up your lunchbox

Use a range of colourful fruit that isn’t restricted from fruit fly outbreaks to make these child friendly fruit snacks.

Ingredients

  • Watermelon
  • Pineapple
  • Rockmelon
  • Honeydew melon
  • Canned or dried apricots (only eat in moderation as these are high in sugar)
  • Baked or stewed apple or pear
  • Frozen blueberries or strawberries

Method

  1. Prepare fruit by cooking (if required) and cutting up into 2 to 3 cm cubes.
  2. Thread fruit onto skewers to form a rainbow of colours.
  3. Depending of freshness of fruit, store in the fridge for up to 3 days.
